Jan Rumi
Mr. Jan Rumi is Honorary Consul of Morocco and Bangladesh in Hawaii and Dean of the Consular Corps. He strives to connect businesses, NGOs and other organizations with US-based partners and global opportunities. Mr. Rumi has served in management positions for the Hawaii Department of Health as well as private organizations in Hawaii. He was senior manager and practice leader of Grant Thornton business advisory services in Honolulu and as head of the Minority Business Development Center.

Rumi has over 30 years of diverse business advisory, management consulting and inustry experience focusing on business development, project management, quality assurance, information technology and operational improvement. He has a seasoned, diversified and international background.

Mr. Rumi owns and operates a number of businesses in Hawaii and has served on a variety of boards.
Frank Haas
Mr. Frank Haas has a career highlighed by executive positions in tourism and hospitality, higher education, advertising, quick service restaurants, high technology and packaged consumer goods. He has taught graduate level courses in marketing and delivered training programs for travel professionals in Abu Dhabi, Singaore, Thailand, Mexico, Hawaii and Guam.

In his professional life, Haas has been Dean for Hospitality and Business programs at Kapiolani Community College (University of Hawaii). He served as Vice President and Director of Marketing for the Hawaii Tourism Authority where he was responsible for for managing $US50 million in marketing contracts. He was CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, Hawaii, part of a global marketing communications system. He has provided marketing consulting services for operations in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Guam.

Frank is past chairman of the American Marketing Association and is the recipient of many marketing awards. He earned his Bachelor's Degree and MBA from Northwestern Universtiy.
